Crop Here

I was thinking about one’s presentation to the world and how people are perceived in what they think is their best presentation to the world. Particularly, I was thinking about one’s presentation or presence via the internet or technological means such as a cellphone picture or a facebook profile picture, for example. I was thinking about how people, especially young people, through these technological means can become these self-obsessed, possibly sexualized, attention seeking people. Or do these technologies, such as the camera app on an ipod that can instantly upload to your facebook and the internet attract the self-obsessed, attention seeking sort of people?

Today’s image: Crop Here. Many online dating sites and facebook have this photo cropping tool, which can make for some interesting views if the image wasn’t already interesting.

Perceptions

I’ve been thinking about one’s presentation to the world and how people are perceived in what they think is their best presentation to the world. It seems to be an ongoing theme with me lately. Best Face Forward was about one’s online dating profile picture.

The other day I was thinking about one’s presentation or presence via  the internet or technological means such as a cellphone picture or a facebook profile picture for example.  I was thinking about how people, especially young people, through these technological means can become these self-obsessed, possibly sexualized, attention seeking people. Or do these technologies, such as the camera app on an ipod that can instantly upload to your facebook, the internet, Mars, etc. attract the self-obsessed, attention seeking sort of people?
