It wouldn’t be summer in Rhode Island without detours, ripped up roads and general DOT chaos… On my way to downtown to pick up my artwork in downtown Providence, I passed the DOT tearing down the old 195. I am just so fascinated with them ripping apart the old 195!
Right down the street from where the ripping apart is occurring, they have some lovely detours in the Jewlry District, looks like they’re “building Brown” (all over town). And when I got to Weybosset Street, well there’s one lane, half the road is ripped up and looks like maybe some of the sidewalks too! Happy driving New England! If your planning on going to Providence, just park your car outside the city and walk there you’ll save yourself the hassle and get some exercise.
